Concepts of Circulation

     For this project, we designed a fictional Yacht Club on the shore of Long Island Sound. The concept of circulation path space relationships and spatial definition was the primary focus of this project. Other concepts such as approach, entrance, the configuration of a path, path-space relationship, and form of circulation path were used specifically for this project. The building's approach was considered oblique; the configuration of the path of the site is branching. The building's entrance is projected; the path-space relationships used within the building are pass-by, pass-through, and terminating; the forms of the circulation path within the building are enclosed, open on one side, and open on both sides.
